Dr. Lucy Shinners- Chief Operating Officer

Datarwe is delighted to announce that Dr Lucy Shinners has joined our team as Chief Operating Officer, bringing two decades of clinical, academic, and AI expertise to our growing health technology enterprise.

Datarwe is thrilled to welcome Dr Lucy Shinners as Chief Operating Officer. She is an accomplished nurse, educator, and researcher with extensive experience bridging clinical care, academic leadership, and AI-driven innovation in healthcare. Dr Shinners first expanded her clinical experience internationally before specialising in cardio-thoracic intensive care on the Gold Coast, where she refined her rapid decision-making and collaborative skills in a high-intensity environment. She went on to complete a Master of Advanced Practice (Critical Care) at Griffith University and a PhD at Southern Cross University, where her research produced the ‘Shinners Artificial Intelligence Perception’ (SHAIP) tool—now used in more than 15 countries.
Dr Shinners also served at SCU as a Course Convenor and Work Integrated Learning Academic Coordinator, shaping the curriculum for thousands of students and forging key clinical partnerships.

Recently, she was recognised in the Gold Coast Women in Business Awards for Innovation, Technology, and Research—an achievement celebrated by Mayor Tom Tate and Deputy Mayor Donna Gates. As a company committed to championing women in business and advancing equity, Datarwe applauds her accomplishments as a testament to the power of diverse leadership.

 

In her new role, Dr Shinners will lead the co-design and validation of AI-enabled products, furthering Datarwe’s mission to deliver safer, more patient-centred solutions for the future of healthcare.
